DAY 7

of The Excellence Challenge

''Celebrate your willingness''

PART 1: night time

Before going to bed

Willingness is one of those things that is very underrated. It is true that willingness alone is not sufficient, but it for sure is necessary to make big changes in this world - and not everyone has it.

Not everyone is willing to improve themselves. Not everyone is willing to look inside, figure out what's holding them back, and take a small step to become a better human being.

So yes, not everyone is like you.

Today, is the last day of the challenge, but I certainly hope that this is only the beginning of bigger improvements in your life and your way of looking at the world.

Today is celebration day!

We are celebrating your willingness to take on this challenge, and to move forward with it until the end! You have no idea how hard it is for so many people to complete what they have started, and if you are here, you did!

You are one of the few people that can commit and act upon their wishes. You are not only a good person with a big heart, but you are also disciplined.

journaling

What did you do better this week?

** This goes for every journaling session:

Take a pen or pencil and a piece of paper, and get ready to let yourself BE.

I personally love to create a set-up that I am excited about. For me, this means searching on spotify for some relaxing meditation music (usually something without lyrics, to not be distracted or biased by them), maybe turning on a candle, getting some tea or coffee, and VERY important, sit comfortably. Find a position that doesn't make your back or neck hurt, so that you can write for as long as you need to. **

Today, we are taking the day off from difficult introspection. Instead, we are laying back and enjoying the progress that we have made. I want you to really take the time today to acknowledge your willingness to embark on this journey, and feel thankful for it. I want you to write down all the big or small things that you did better this week. Nothing is too small. Everything counts. Remember that story about the brick? Well, what bricks did you put up beautifully this week?

- When you are done writing, come back here and read the following -

Now that you have finished journaling, take some time to acknowledge yourself for being brave enough to do this activity.

Put your hands on your chest, and say thank you.

Now, put what you wrote somewhere safe, because you will need it tomorrow morning :)

- For tomorrow morning -

Tomorrow, we will do some visualisation and meditation. All together, this will take 15min. However, save yourself some extra 15min to read the instructions.

In total, expect to use 30min of your morning.

I know. You may have to wake up a little earlier than usual, but trust me, it will be worth it.

Thank you so much for joining this beautiful challenge, have a great night sleep, and see you tomorrow :)

part 2: morning time

Before starting your day

VISUALISATION

Good morning friend!

Take out what you wrote yesterday in your journaling session, and take some time to read through it.

- Continue reading below, after you are done reading your writing -

Now, read the next paragraph until the end, and then follow the instructions in it.

Put on some relaxing/meditation music, set your timer to 5 minutes and close your eyes.  Picture yourself feeling happy and proud about your achievements. Think not only about everything that you did better this past week, but also about things that you would like to improve in yourself even more. Imagine yourself already celebrating the success of having moved passed your goals. Regardless of these goals being the ones that you have already succeeded on, or future goals, picture yourself already celebrating them. Feel the joy and the peace within you. Enjoy this moment of celebration.

- When you are done, come back here for your meditation session :) -

MEDITATION

- For this activity, you can keep the same music that you used for your visualisation exercise -

In today's meditation, we will practice gratitude.

Now, read the next paragraph until the end, and then follow the instructions in it.

Put on some relaxing/meditation music, set your timer to 10 minutes and close your eyes.  In today's meditation, we will focus on the beauty of everything that is. We will focus on appreciating the magic that lies hidden in absolutely everything. This week, we learned about perspective, and how opportunity lies behind all difficult situations. Let's use that knowledge in this meditation session. Whenever a thought pops up, look at it with kindness, and say in your mind ''Thank you. This is what I need''. With this, we are training our ability to welcome into our life any situation that arises, and look at it with gratitude. We are thankful, because we know that with every challenge, comes opportunity. So in this meditation session,  try to look at your thoughts - no matter how weird they may be - from a gratitude perspective. Are you ready? Let's go :)

during your daY

Celebrate your progress

Well done! Your morning practice is done and I am so proud of you.

Now, I will just ask you to do one thing during the day:

Allow yourself to feel proud because of the decision that you made to complete this challenge.

Today, I want you to simply allow yourself to enjoy the state at which you are at. No matter how far you are from specific goals that you want to achieve, try to enjoy where you are at right now. You have worked hard, you have beautiful intentions, and the combination of those 2 things will bring you further in your path. Today, celebrate not only your current state, but also your willingness to continue growing.

Love,

Mary.

You've completed the challenge!

I'd love to hear your story!
